These two companies offer similar services when it comes to buying a rental car. Hertz fleet sales also include no-haggle pricing, a free vehicle history report, and financing through partner lenders. Hertz also covers car purchases with a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty, the same coverage as the Enterprise car sales warranty.
Enterprise has more than 130 sales locations nationally, and claims to have more than 7000 vehicles available for sale at any given time. All of the inventory comes from the rental operations of Enterprise, as well as from Alamo and National rental fleets (both of which are also owned by Enterprise Holdings).
I will use Enterprise Used Car Sales for all my vehicle purchases. The people are awesome the vehicles are in great condition & recommend buying a car from enterprise! We purchased a 2018 Ford Escape. The process was smooth & will always buy from enterprise used car sales.
Pre-approved me then jerked me around once I got there. Their salesmen would go to the manager's office and stand around for 30 minutes to an hour, sometimes more. Their computer systems are from the 90s and are slower than a Pentium processor trying to boot windows 11. Frequent system crashes and long load times.
Complete disregard for making any sale and that's fine they are far from the only dealer in town. I knocked on their door twice after waiting for a salesmen to come back to me and no one wanted to come out so I left. I have other offers for a vehicle that I actually want (they didn't have any trucks) and so as the saying goes, it just wasn't meant to be.
I recommend staying away from this dealership. They seem to be under the impression that they don't need any sales. So don't give them any and see if their attitude remains the same. To top that off the person I was working with ran my credit a second time without permission and put a second hard inquiry on my credit report. The bottom line is they are car salesmen in every sense of the word. Untrustworthy, Shady, and willing to bend ethics to make a buck.
In fact, many rental car companies take such good care of their cars that they are willing to offer their own warranty on car sales, as well as other types of coverage to sweeten the deal. This sets them apart from most used car lots, where you may have to haggle for any extras. Hertz and Enterprise both offer a 12-month/12,000 mile limited powertrain warranty, and Avis has a variety of extended warranty options. All three companies also note that many of their sale vehicles are still under the original factory warranty.

The three-day test-drive. Purchasing a rental car used to be considered a bad idea because of the wear and tear renters may put on them. But over the years, people have realized that the benefits can far outweigh the downsides. Strict maintenance, lower prices, \"no haggle\" sales, rent-to-buy options, extended warranties, and seven-day return policies can help make buying a car from a rental company a good idea.

You're buying a car from a rental car company, not a car dealership. So you may not have a wide selection of vehicles from which to choose. In fact, the inventory will probably be less than it would be at a traditional dealership. Some rental car companies have essentially said that they're done buying cars and restocking cars for the year, thanks to the pandemic crushing their business. So next year, for instance, the inventory of rental cars for sale could be slim pickings.
When you buy from a car dealership, the buying process is mostly on the lot. Buying a used rental is much different. Most of the buying process is done online, and you may only need to go to the rental office for test drives or paperwork.
Hertz Car Sales consists of a network of 80 company-operated vehicle sales locations throughout the U.S. dedicated to the sale of used vehicles from our rental fleet consisting of non-program vehicles, as well as program vehicles that become ineligible for manufacturer repurchase or guaranteed depreciation programs. Vehicles disposed of through our retail outlets allow us the opportunity for ancillary vehicle sales revenue, such as warranty and financing and title fees.
So as you can see, buying from Hertz Car Sales (or buying used rental cars in general) has plenty of pros and cons. I personally would be quite nervous with these kinds of auto sales, and would be more inclined if the price was really, really good. 59ce067264
